Keep Willbern Green

A 15 acre natural forest is threaten by development and a local community committee was formed to protect it. On January 22, 2008 the Cy-Fair ISD board of trustees postponed the declaration of this land as “surplus” at the request of the committee so that an exploratory effort can be made to weight options for its preservation. The committee is hoping that that the land can be purchased by a local or federal conservation organization or turned into a community center. The “Keep Willbern Green” is accepting suggestions and or support for this effort.
